With the announcement that Digimon World -Next 0rder- will hit the West next month, I think we have to let Bandai Namco know that we also need Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, firstly because it was the game that motivated the campaign known as 'Operation Decode' and will help many fans know the origin of Mirei Mikagura and Rina Shonomiya in the franchise, and secondly and most important, because it's probably the best Digimon cult game of all time (with the permission of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth)!! What do you guys think?:). I'd say Bandai Namco is in a very weird position for Decode. It is important for the understanding of recurring characters, but it is also several years old for a completely different console than their current games.
Add to that Decode isn't looking that great (due to the 3DS not being that powerful) and that it actually got developed by an external studio and things get even worse. I can imagine that they don't think it would be a financial success (or worth the risk) and I'd personally not argue with that unless I would see some reliable data that signals the other way.
'Nagging' them on Twitter would be a weak indicator for their marketing department while a successful petition would be more effective. However, most petitions that originate from the Digimon community are not organized and planned well enough to reach the levels of Operation Decode, so whoever thinks of doing one should be prepared for a lot of work. But there is another way. While Operation Decode might not be able to give us Re:Digitize Decode, there is still and Citra (3DS Emulator).;).
Seriously, why does this community have problems with people wanting stuff? 'Deserve' doesn't imply any obligation on Bamco's part, it implies that this community did enough to justify a western release. (Which I would argue is true, due to the petition) While I totally agree that it is very unlikely for this game to come to the west on official channels, why is it wrong to ask for it? If we don't signalize Bamco our demand they will (rightfully) assume that it doesn't exist, so by saying 'won't happen' every time someone asks for something, we're hurting ourselves. Because seriously, if you all think you don't deserve Decode then I could stop working on it and do something else that might be financially more worthwhile for me. (PS: This is not directed exclusively at you.). Seriously, why does this community have problems with people wanting stuff?
You can want whatever you want. I want to play Decode. But I am not going to make a post complaining that we didn't get something we 'deserve.' 'Deserve' doesn't imply any obligation on Bamco's part, it implies that this community did enough to justify a western release.

If we don't signalize Bamco our demand they will (rightfully) assume that it doesn't exist, so by saying 'won't happen' every time someone asks for something, we're hurting ourselves. Yes but the petition began before Cyber Sleuth and Next 0rder and those are newer games on a more relevant console. Maybe one day we can get an HD Remaster of Decoded on the PS4, but right now they are doing what they feel is best for their business. We cannot ask for more Digimon games in the west and then complain after we get 2 and wanted a different one. That's being whiney and entitled.
Because seriously, if you all think you don't deserve Decode then I could stop working on it and do something else that might be financially more worthwhile for me. I have no idea what you're talking about. You can want whatever you want. I want to play Decode.
But I am not going to make a post complaining that we didn't get something we 'deserve.' I don't see where the OP (or anyone) is complaining that we don't get Decode, I only read a post that suggests that we should let Bamco know that there is a demand for Decode in the west.
Yes but the petition began before Cyber Sleuth and Next 0rder and those are newer games on a more relevant console. Maybe one day we can get an HD Remaster of Decoded on the PS4, but right now they are doing what they feel is best for their business. That doesn't seem to be relevant whether the use of 'deserve' is justified or not. And we already agree that Decode is unlikely to come to the west.;) However, without us letting them know that there is a demand we will also never get an official release, be it now or in a few years on whatever platform. Because otherwise Bamco simply has no reason to assume the game would make a profit – at least not without doing some market research on their own.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm working with Romsstar on the Decode fan translation. OP didn't even say they wanted Decode, but actually used the word NEED. That's entitlement. Nobody anywhere in the universe needs any video game. I pre-ordered Next 0rder so I deserve that, sure. But just because we signed a petition asking for Digimon games doesn't mean we deserve Digimon games.
Making posts saying we deserve or even need a video game is whining. As for the fan translation, I would say do what you want to do with your life. I don't know your life but I would spend countless hours of my free on a project I won't get paid for, but that's just me. Bottom line is: I would love it if Decode got released.
I do not think Decode will get released. We should not whine and beg and bother Bandai about getting Decode released.
Higher secondary physics book bangladesh free. By distributing the educational text book free of cost NCTB plays a vital role for the public of Independent Bangladesh.
We got a shitload of signatures on the petition and they listened and gave us something and thus we should be grateful, not greedy. Most niche fandoms don't get that kind of love.
Earthbound fans have been bugging Nintendo for Mother 3 for over a decade and Nintendo looks at them and says, 'These people don't know when to quit.' I'm happy with Cyber Sleuth, I'm happy with Next 0rder, but I was content to never play a digimon game again so that's how I'm going to live my life. Epson r330 printer reset.
Because there are bigger battles to fight on the horizon. 'Need' seems to be a poor choice of a word, that is right, but I'd rather suspect that the OP's first language is not English than to imply entitlement, because the remaining text is missing the standard signs of the type of text you're referring to (e.g. 'we demand', 'they must' and so on). I think for the rest nothing has further has to be said, as I agree with it.;) Oh and if I recall correctly you organized a Digimon convention, so assume you not just 'would' spend countless hours of your free time for a similar project, but you actually did already.;) My comment was a jab at 'we don't deserve Decode', which could also be understood as 'we don't want Decode' – in which case a translation would be useless. Of course I know that people actually do want to play the game and will continue to pour countless hours into it.;).
Oh and if I recall correctly you organized a Digimon convention, so assume you not just 'would' spend countless hours of your free time for a similar project, but you actually did already.;) Ugh, yeah. In fairness I was selling things and making some money off of those events, but no where near enough to turn a profit. They were stressful, time consuming, and costly. I spent a lot of my own money on those events and ultimately decided that I would put them on hold until 2019 or so.
I'm also getting married, so that's a thing I gotta focus on. More relevant console you say? The installed base of the 3DS is still larger than the PS4's and the Vita combined. By that logic, the only relevant one would have been Re:Digitize Decode. The main difference here is money. While Nintendo is not one to go pouring money into localizing 3rd party content (and we should be thankful for that, Nintendo Treehouse localizations are heavily edited and censored regardless of the game's intended audience), Sony is happy to throw money as long as the PS4 gets a version in the west.
